About Wānaka A&P Show
Experience the essence of town and country living with the Wanaka A&P Show, a cherished Kiwi tradition for over 85 years. This show celebrates the agricultural and pastoral industry with top equestrian competitions, displays of farm animals, arts and crafts competitions, and a bustling marketplace with 500 trade stalls. Drawing in around 40,000 visitors annually, it is one of the largest A&P Shows in New Zealand.
The Upper Clutha A&P Society, dating back to 1895, organizes this event held at the scenic Wanaka Showgrounds since 1934. Run by dedicated community members, this show is a labor of love, showcasing the best of rural life and community spirit.
