WANDA Upcycling is a small dog-accessories brand founded by Josef Schaucher and Ursula Weinhuber in Bad Tölz, Germany. Its products give used climbing ropes a new purpose, transforming materials with their own histories into handmade items for dogs and their people. The range includes dog leashes, collars, toys, and other accessories, with an emphasis on sustainability, practical use, and individual style.

The brand’s story began when Josef, after being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, turned a cherished climbing rope into a leash for his dog, Wanda. That personal project grew into a wider collection developed through everyday use and feedback from family and friends. One featured design is the continuously adjustable WANDA leash.

WANDA also invites customers to send in their own unused climbing ropes and have them made into a leash, helping preserve the memories attached to the material. Customers who choose this service receive a 20 percent discount on a leash of their choice and a keychain made from their rope.
