Wandzin

EKO “Szkoła Życia” is a Polish public-benefit organization operated by the Solidarni “PLUS” Association. Based in Wandzin, it supports people affected by addiction and their families, helping clients pursue treatment, social reintegration and a return to independent everyday life. Its approach places each person’s dignity, needs and potential for change at the centre of care, within a safe and supportive environment.

The organization provides several complementary services. Its long-term care and treatment ward offers round-the-clock support for people with medical needs, including people living with HIV/AIDS and people with disabilities. Specialist doctors, nurses and therapists provide care alongside rehabilitation, occupational therapy and psychological support. A separate program offers intensive, short-term treatment for alcohol and behavioral addictions, combining individual and group work to strengthen motivation and support recovery. For dependence on drugs, medicines and other psychoactive substances, the centre runs medium- and long-term therapeutic community programs, with individual and group therapy, social reintegration and vocational activities.
