Wanneroo Martial Arts

Wanneroo Martial Arts is a family-friendly training school based in Mariginiup, Western Australia, serving Wanneroo and nearby communities. Its dojo is equipped with facilities and training gear including fall mats, a boxing ring, bags, focus mitts, kick shields and Thai pads. The school is the Perth branch of the Australian Okinawa Goju-Ryu Karate Federation and also offers training through Arachnid Muay Thai and the Perth Japanese Sword School.

Programs include traditional Okinawa Goju-Ryu karate, Muay Thai, kickboxing, boxing, self-defence, yoga and Japanese sword arts. Adult classes cater to traditional practice, competition, fitness and wellbeing, while occasional self-defence sessions cover avoidance and practical street skills. Children’s programs are designed to build confidence, discipline, self-control and respect, with classes for young beginners as well as karate, kickboxing and boxing.

Japanese sword classes teach traditional Iaido, with Iaijutsu and live-blade cutting included. The school’s philosophy emphasizes learning together, setting goals and pursuing them as a team with passion and bravery. It welcomes students at different ages and experience levels.
