WAPPA EV

WAPPA, the West German Association for Pediatric Pneumology and Allergology, is a professional organization supporting continuing education and the exchange of experience among clinicians and practitioners. Its work focuses on pediatric allergology, environmental medicine, and pneumology, bringing together colleagues working in clinics and private practice. WAPPA organizes educational events throughout the year, including annual conferences, hyposensitization seminars, skills courses, and introductory courses in pediatric pneumology. These programs offer opportunities for professional learning and discussion in the association’s specialist fields.

Membership provides regular information about current research findings, treatment guidelines, medications, and professional policy developments. Members also receive an annual subscription to the e-journal Pädiatrische Allergologie in Klinik und Praxis and reduced fees for WAPPA and GPA conferences. Members of a regional working group are automatically members of the umbrella organization, the GPA. WAPPA also supports professional development through a hospitation scholarship and provides access to a journal, parent guides, event information, and resources for quality assurance.
