About Warchée
Warch(ée) is a women-led association and sustainable social enterprise that aims to integrate women into the construction field and professions they may not typically have access to. Founded by architect Anastasia El-Rouss, the organization focuses on creating inclusive training and work opportunities, particularly in the male-dominated building and construction industry. Warch(ée) designs with an environmental aspect, using a circular economy system that reduces wood waste and avoids the use of chemicals and metals.
Their goal is to promote a zero-waste approach, employing wood-on-wood joinery and details. Additionally, the NGO provides employment opportunities by dividing construction jobs into two categories: craftswomen and technicians. Through partnerships and collaborations with construction companies, Warch(ée) supports women in accessing traditional jobs in the construction sector.
They also provide training in sought-after techniques and surround female architects, engineers, and landscape architects with perfectly trained female teams. With a mission to unleash the potential of women and provide equal opportunities for all, Warch(ée) aims to empower women in both urban and rural areas, helping them gain employment opportunities and increased income
