WarehamCarnival

Wareham Carnival is a community-focused organisation that brings residents and visitors together through seasonal events, celebrations and fundraising in Wareham. Its programme includes a spring fair, launch night, carnival royalty activities, a duck race, safari supper, history walk, flower festival and a carnival weekend featuring a Sunday procession and activities on the Rec. The organisation also supports community participation through volunteer opportunities and applications for stalls, procession entries and the scarecrow competition.

Wareham Carnival’s events extend beyond the main summer celebration, with activities such as Wareham’s Christmas Lights and Parade and Wareham BeerEx. The carnival also raises and distributes funds to local groups and causes. In 2024/2025, it gave £6,500 to organisations and community initiatives, including youth groups, schools, care and support services, sporting clubs and local cultural organisations.

The next carnival weekend is scheduled for Friday 16 to Sunday 18 July 2027 at the Rec in Wareham. The organisation shares event information, application forms, sponsor details, historical material and photo galleries through its official website, and acknowledges the support of sponsors and volunteers.
