War Map Live is a free online service that maps reported armed incidents around the world, helping users view conflict-related news by location and identify patterns at a glance. It checks 72 public news feeds every five minutes and uses a language model to extract reports that identify a specific place. Tracked event types include drone strikes, missile attacks, shelling, gunfire and ground combat, naval incidents, air defence engagements, and explosions.

Users can filter incidents by time window, event type, region, severity, and country, or browse a live feed and country-level counts. Each map pin links to the original news report; War Map Live describes itself as an index of published reporting, not an original journalism outlet. The service also offers a Chrome extension with toolbar updates and location-specific alerts, along with app installation and settings options.

Its information is not verified intelligence or a safety warning: locations are model-estimated, reports may be delayed, and the map should never be relied on for personal safety
