War Ponies, Elite Paint Cowhorses, is a family-owned horse breeding and sales operation in Tylertown, Mississippi, owned and operated by Joey and LeeAnn Slipher. The Slipher family has bred and raised horses at the same location for more than 100 years, and their involvement with APHA Paint horses began in 2009. The program focuses on producing competitive Paint Cowhorses with proven performance bloodlines, pairing top-earning or top-producing Quarter Horses with accomplished Paint Horses.
Its goal is to develop elite Paint Cowhorses capable of competing against leading horses in the Cowhorse industry. War Ponies offers stallions, yearlings, embryos, and show horses and prospects for sale, and features its mares and ICSI program. The operation also promotes its horses and breeding program and welcomes inquiries from prospective buyers.
With a mission rooted in performance and a family history of horsemanship, War Ponies aims to help build a stronger supply of competitive Paint Cowhorses for the sport
