The Warriors Basketball Association (WBA) is a volunteer-led youth basketball program serving boys and girls in grades 3 through 8 in Waldwick. Its mission is to encourage and promote basketball locally while helping players prepare for Waldwick High School programs. The association offers competitive travel basketball, a recreational program, and introductory basketball clinics for younger children.
The travel season runs from late October through March and typically includes one or two practices per week and approximately 16 league games, with the possibility of postseason playoffs. Boys’ teams play in the North Jersey Junior Basketball League, with grades 4 through 6 also competing in the Bergen Travel Basketball League. Girls’ teams participate in the North/West Bergen/Passaic Travel Basketball League. The WBA also provides recreational basketball registration and clinics for Waldwick children in kindergarten through second grade. Clinics feature basic instruction in ball handling, shooting, and defense, followed by a coach-led scrimmage.
