About Wasel for Awareness & Edu وصل للتوعية والتثقيف
Wasel for Awareness & Education is an NGO based in Jordan, established in June 2018. Our main goal is to bridge the gap between youth of different geographical and socioeconomic backgrounds through our civic engagement programs. We focus on Social, Political, and Economic Development to create a cohesive and empowered generation of youth.
At Wasel, we aim to break the cycle of a volunteer giving to a beneficiary. Instead, we strive to create two strong parties working together towards a common goal. Our programs, such as Shabbek Wa Ibtaker and Shabbek Wa Bader, provide opportunities for youth to learn and develop skills in various areas.
We have been recognized globally for our efforts, being awarded the prestigious Intercultural Innovation Hub by the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations & the BMW Group, and Accenture. This recognition speaks to our commitment to promoting intercultural dialogue, understanding, and contributing to peace and inclusive societies.
