Users can share or paste links to videos from Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts, and Wasfa creates a written recipe with ingredients and steps. Recipes can then be added to a weekly plan, which generates a grocery list based on the dishes selected. The service is designed to make saved cooking inspiration easier to find and use, while reducing the effort of deciding what to cook and preparing to shop.

Wasfa also checks recipe ingredients for items flagged as not halal or matching allergies set by the user, and may suggest an alternative. These checks are automated, and the brand advises users to read ingredients themselves. Recipes and grocery lists can be reviewed and edited before cooking or shopping. Founded by Abdelrahman Ahmed in Cairo, Wasfa is currently offering a free beta for a limited group; participants receive installation instructions by email and a discount on the paid subscription planned for launch.
