Wasserforscher is an educational resource from the Bavarian Environment Agency (LfU Bayern), focused on water and environmental education. It helps teachers, students, education providers, nature conservation groups and other interested members of the public explore the importance of water and the ecosystems associated with rivers and other waterways. The initiative promotes understanding of how aquatic environments function and encourages people to develop a personal connection with local streams and rivers. Its goal is to support responsible care for water as a resource and for the habitats that waterways sustain.

Wasserforscher brings together information about educational opportunities available in Bavaria and beyond. Its resources include brochures, teaching guides and digital materials, alongside information about current water-related projects and activities for school classes and youth groups. The site also points users to environmental education networks and offers background information on water. By organizing these resources in one place, Wasserforscher supports both classroom learning and activities outside school, helping educators and learners experience water through engaging, practical approaches.
