Wasserburg Anstel

Wasserburg Anstel is a family-run equestrian and hospitality destination in Rommerskirchen, Germany, set within a historic, listed water castle first documented in 1155. The Jochemich family has owned the estate since 1911 and now operates it as a welcoming riding and farm complex, combining its heritage with facilities for horses, riders and visitors.

The equestrian centre offers more than 50 boarding places, including indoor and outdoor boxes, paddock boxes, pasture and group-housing options. Facilities include a riding hall, dressage and jumping arenas, a lunge hall, exercise equipment, paddocks and extensive grazing land. Qualified instructors provide individual and group lessons in dressage and jumping, as well as lunge and children’s riding lessons from age five. Camps, riding badges and riding partnerships are also available.

Guests can stay in furnished holiday apartments in the estate’s historic stable buildings, with amenities such as private bathrooms, kitchens and Wi-Fi. The property also features a fishing pond, countryside surroundings and space for events and activities, offering visitors a distinctive rural stay between Cologne and Düsseldorf.
