WaterCircle is a Swedish environmental consultancy focused on aquatic ecosystems and biodiversity. Founded in 2018 as a side project to develop eDNA methods together with eDNA Solutions AB, the company aims to strengthen biodiversity in waterways and create healthier ecosystems for the future. Its work combines field expertise with practical conservation measures for nature and society.
WaterCircle surveys and helps control invasive species, including water fringe, goldfish, signal crayfish, waterweed, skunk cabbage and golden club. Its hydrology services include wetland restoration and creation, watercourse restoration and biotope mapping. The company also provides environmental DNA (eDNA) sampling: organisms leave genetic traces in water, which can be used to identify species; eDNA Solutions AB analyses the samples. Other services listed include electrofishing, action coordination and construction-site follow-up.
WaterCircle’s projects include invasive water fringe control, habitat improvements and measures to support fish migration, as well as fish surveys supplemented by eDNA analysis. Through these services and projects, the company supports informed water management and the restoration of aquatic habitats.
