Wateree River Wildlife Preserve is a South Carolina outdoor recreation and hunting destination combining Southern tradition with managed wildlife habitat. Located in Lugoff, the preserve spans more than 2,000 acres and includes over a mile of frontage on the Wateree River. Its undeveloped setting within the COWASEE Basin Focus Area and Wateree River Conservation Corridor supports abundant wildlife and a scenic natural experience.

The preserve offers guided hunting for wild hogs, whitetail deer, and turkey. Hog hunts can take place day or night with professionally trained dogs, while deer hunts feature managed food plots and comfortable stands, and turkey outings include experienced callers. Quail hunting is planned for 2026–2027, with trained dogs provided. Beyond hunting, guests can book guided river boat rides, fish, hike, and explore the property. Wateree River Preserve also hosts corporate and private events, group retreats, and gatherings for families, friends, and youth groups. The team welcomes hunters of different experience levels, including women and young people, and emphasizes a safe, memorable outdoor visit.
