The Northwest Waterfall Survey is dedicated to exploring, studying, and cataloging the thousands of waterfalls that grace the Pacific Northwest region. While countless landforms have been extensively researched, waterfalls have unfortunately been neglected. The Survey aims to change that by providing a comprehensive inventory of these stunning natural wonders.
Led by Seattle native Bryan Swan, the project was initiated in 1999 and has since grown exponentially. In collaboration with the World Waterfall Database, the Northwest Waterfall Survey strives to gather data and information to establish a concrete record of the region's waterfalls and their significance. By doing so, they hope to shed light on these mesmerizing geological formations and highlight their true magnificence.
Contributors to the survey include passionate waterfall enthusiasts from across the Pacific Northwest. Whether you're an avid waterfall hunter or simply captivated by the wonders of nature, the Northwest Waterfall Survey is your go-to source for information on these breathtaking landmarks
