Waterford City & County Council is the authority responsible for local government in the City & County of Waterford, Ireland. Established in June 2014, after the local elections, it is a result of the merger between Waterford City Council and Waterford County Council, as mandated by the Local Government Reform Act 2014. With a mission to make Waterford the best possible place for all its people, the council strives to create a vibrant environment for residents, visitors, workers, and investors alike.
Headed by Chief Executive Michael Walsh, the council has its corporate headquarters in City Hall, located at The Mall in Waterford.
