Waterford Hospice Movement (WHM) CLG is a charitable organisation established in 1988 to support patients and families across Waterford City and County and South Kilkenny. Its mission is to provide public benefit to people known to the South East Palliative Care Service and those using the South East Palliative Care Centre, helping them through care in their home or place of residence and in the community.
The organisation enhances palliative care through patient comforts, including equipment and amenities, as well as complementary therapies, counselling and support services. It also offers practical ways for the public to contribute, including one-off and regular donations, online fundraising, text donations, legacy gifts and its Friend programme. Community fundraising initiatives include Coffee Morning for Hospice, Hospice Sunflower Days and the Waterford Rotary Club Memorial Tree, which also supports Solas Cancer Support Centre. Supporters can purchase Waterford Hospice Christmas cards through the online shop. Waterford Hospice Movement works to ensure funds raised locally help sustain its support for patients and families in the region.
