Carolina Waterfowl Rescue (CWR) is a North Carolina nonprofit rescue and sanctuary dedicated to caring for animals and offering them second chances. Based in Indian Trail, the organization is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charity and is open daily from 8 a. m.
to 6 p. m., though it does not offer public tours. Its work includes rescue referrals, support for injured or baby birds through an emergency hotline, animal care, and adoption.
CWR also provides guidance and educational resources through its Learning Center, including care guides, species information, Wild Discoveries, camps, and education programs. Visitors can learn about the animals living at the sanctuary, sponsor a species, and follow life at the rescue. The organization invites the public to help through donations, auctions, shopping and practical giving, as well as volunteering.
It also maintains Amazon and Chewy wishlists for essential supplies and feed. CWR offers a Second Chance Fund and accepts animal surrenders, helping connect community support with the ongoing needs of the animals in its care
