Watergate

Watergate.com is a historical research website devoted to the Watergate scandal, Richard Nixon’s presidency, and the broader political events of the era. Its central resource is the Colodny Collection, a large private archive of Watergate- and Nixon-era materials bequeathed by investigator and author Leonard Colodny to Texas A&M University–Central Texas, where the records are housed in the Central Texas Historical Archive. The site aims to revisit contested accounts and help correct or clarify the historical record through documents, interviews, articles, and commentary.

Visitors can explore the collection’s taped interviews, archival resources, and contributions from the site’s advisory board, as well as material on figures including Bob Woodward, John Dean, Admiral Thomas H. Moorer, and other participants in the Watergate story. The website also features discussions of Colodny’s books, including Silent Coup: The Removal of a President, and The Forty Years War: The Rise and Fall of the Neocons from Nixon to Obama.
