About WAMU-NET
WAMU (Global Network of Water Museums) is a flagship initiative of UNESCO-IHP (Intergovernmental Hydrological Programme) that aims to promote water awareness education and build a new culture of water. They support cooperation among museums, institutions, and individuals to implement actions that repair our relationship with water, our most precious element for life. WAMU-NET reconnects people with all forms of water legacy, including natural and cultural heritages, and highlights the social, cultural, artistic, and spiritual dimensions related to water.
They offer various activities such as the The Water We Want international youth contest and award, which boosts water awareness education through museums. Additionally, WAMU-NET explores ancient practices of water management and their contribution to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through their global network, you can explore collections and activities of water museums worldwide.
Join WAMU-NET and be a part of their mission to promote a new culture of water and preserve our planet's life-giving blood
