About Water Regs UK
Water Regs UK is a brand that supports water companies in their mission to provide safe and reliable water supplies in the UK. They play a crucial role in promoting and enforcing the Water Fittings Regulations and Byelaws to ensure that water is safe to drink and not wasted in premises. With strong partnerships with 26 water companies nationwide, Water Regs UK works towards protecting public health, improving drinking water quality, reducing leakage, promoting water efficiency, assisting developers with new connections, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Water Regs UK acts as the central hub for disseminating information about the regulations and provides training, an advice line, publications, and a website to promote education and awareness. They also administer the Water Industry Approved Plumber Scheme (WIAPS) on behalf of 14 water supply companies in England and Wales. WIAPS members are listed on the trusted online register WaterSafe, which helps individuals find qualified and insured plumbers near them.
