Wavecrest Surf School

Wavecrest Surf School is a Jeffreys Bay surf school founded by Libby Moon in 2005. Based at Kitchen Windows on Dolphin Beach, the school teaches in a welcoming setting close to the town’s renowned surf breaks, using beginner-friendly waves suited to learning. Its professional instructors are First Aid certified and ocean-safety qualified, and classes are kept small, with a maximum of six students per instructor. Programmes cater to everyone from first-time surfers to more experienced riders.

Offerings include two-hour daily group lessons and private coaching, as well as three-, five- and seven-day surf camps. Lessons include a surfboard, wetsuit and instruction; multi-day packages also provide use of the equipment for the rest of each lesson day. Wavecrest offers surfboard, wetsuit and equipment hire, plus surf guides for exploring Jeffreys Bay’s breaks. Daily lessons are available at several times, with same-day booking offered through WhatsApp. The school also provides information about local surf conditions, breaks, accommodation and activities, helping visitors plan a broader Jeffreys Bay stay.
