Waves for Hope is a brand that focuses on youth development programs in under-served communities across Trinidad & Tobago. Through the power of surfing, group discussions, and mentorship, Waves for Hope empowers at-risk youths and provides them with positive psychology education. The brand's mission is to improve the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of young people.

Waves for Hope creates a safe space for these youths and offers caring mentors who guide them through evidence-based exercises aimed at building healthy relationships and developing coping skills. Additionally, the fun activity of surfing not only provides enjoyment but also helps improve confidence and self-esteem.

With a goal of encouraging positive life choices and creating role models within under-served communities, Waves for Hope works with groups of up to 24 youths at a time. These youths often face vulnerabilities such as poverty, violence, abuse, and family breakdown.

Founded in 2019 by Trinidad Surf Pro Chris Dennis and Manuela Giger from Switzerland, Waves for Hope is a non-profit organization driven by a passion for surfing and the healing nature of the ocean combined with surf therapy.
