Waves Support Group

WAVES is an Additional Needs Support Group based at Bilton Hall CIO on Taunton Avenue in Jarrow, South Tyneside. Run by volunteers who are parents of children with additional needs, the group aims to create a welcoming and understanding community for children, young adults, parents and carers. Its activities are designed to help children and young adults build social, emotional and physical skills, while also encouraging friendship and connection.

WAVES offers onsite activities and seasonal social events, alongside advice and support for parents and carers. The group describes its approach through the values “Care. Share.

Support. ” and seeks to provide a safe, accepting place where families can feel understood. WAVES is open on Saturdays from 12pm to 4pm and welcomes people interested in learning more, getting involved or supporting its work.
