Waves Swim School is a family-owned and operated swimming school established in 1998 by Tony Ross and his late wife, Clare. Based at Shooters Hill Post 16 Campus in London, it teaches children aged four and older, welcoming swimmers of all abilities, from beginners to those developing competent swimming skills. The school is led by Tony alongside his daughter Naomi and sister Georgina, continuing the family’s central role in the programme.

Waves offers a distinctive Learn to Swim programme built around its own syllabus, designed to develop and progress each swimmer’s ability. Lessons are organised into seven groups, from Starfish, Otter and Seal through Penguin and Dolphin, followed by two Survival Series groups. Instructors are ASA qualified, selected for their competitive swimming backgrounds and enthusiasm for teaching, and trained in the school’s “Waves Way” approach to skills and drills.

Courses include regular school-term lessons and a Holiday Intensive Programme. The holiday option provides back-to-back 45-minute lessons over four or five days, helping children practise and build their swimming skills during school breaks.
