Wave Transit

Wave Transit is the public transportation provider serving Wilmington, North Carolina, through the Cape Fear Public Transportation Authority. Its services help residents and visitors travel around the area and connect with other transportation options. The network includes fixed-route buses, the Port City Trolley, the Seahawk Shuttle, and RideMICRO. For eligible riders who need accessible transportation, Wave Transit offers Accessible Van Service through Dial-a-Ride Transportation (DART).

Riders can use route maps, schedules, and real-time tracking to plan trips and check estimated bus arrival times. The organization also shares service alerts and route changes to help passengers prepare for interruptions or updated schedules. Additional support includes travel training to help people learn to use public transit, along with community outreach that provides information and gathers feedback. Wave Transit also lists intercity connections with Greyhound and Amtrak, and offers fares and passes for its services. Through these transportation options and rider resources, Wave Transit works to make public transit more accessible and convenient across the Wilmington community.
