About Wayne First Aid
Wayne Township Memorial First Aid Squad is a dedicated volunteer emergency medical service established in 1943 in response to community needs. With a commitment to providing exceptional healthcare, the squad answers over 5,000 calls each year, ensuring timely and effective responses to emergencies in Wayne Township and surrounding areas. Their fleet includes five ambulances, heavy rescue vehicles, a mobile ambulance bus, and specialized trailers, enabling them to handle a variety of incidents, including mass casualty events.
Staffed by over 65 trained Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), all members receive extensive training, including opportunities for advanced heavy rescue courses. The squad also fosters youth involvement through its Cadet Corps, encouraging local teenagers to engage in emergency services. Recognized as the Outstanding Volunteer EMS Agency in New Jersey in 2007, Wayne Township Memorial First Aid Squad exemplifies community service excellence. They welcome volunteers and donations to sustain their vital operations, showcasing their unwavering dedication to the safety and health of the community.
