WayPoint Support Services

WayPoint Support Services helps individuals and families navigate California’s Self-Determination Program (SDP) through independent facilitation and person-centered support. The organization works with participants to understand their options, prepare for decisions, and manage the steps involved in creating a plan that reflects the life they want to build.

Its approach begins with listening to each participant’s goals, preferences, strengths, relationships, and support needs. WayPoint then helps turn those priorities into practical plans, budgets, services, and next steps. Support can include preparing for meetings, identifying goals and needed supports, developing and managing spending plans, and coordinating with Regional Centers, Financial Management Services, providers, families, and other members of a participant’s chosen team.

WayPoint offers guidance both before someone enters SDP and throughout their participation. Its role is to help people make informed choices, not make decisions for them. By combining collaborative coordination with practical planning, WayPoint aims to make a complex process easier to navigate while keeping the participant at the center.
