The Women Boxing Archive Network (WBAN) is a pioneering platform dedicated to preserving and showcasing the rich history of women's boxing. Founded by researcher Sue TL Fox, who has been actively documenting the sport since 1996, WBAN launched its Historical Database in 1998. This online repository features an extensive collection of records spanning from the 1700s to the present day, continuously updated with new information, photographs, and archived documents.
WBAN offers a wealth of resources, including biographies of pioneers in the sport, a comprehensive record database of female boxers, and access to multimedia galleries featuring fight images and videos. In addition to maintaining detailed historical archives, WBAN emphasizes correcting misconceptions about women's boxing, showcasing notable fighters, and highlighting landmark moments in the sport's evolution.
With its mission to honor trailblazers who paved the way for modern female athletes, WBAN is a vital resource for both fans and researchers of women's boxing, providing free access to a treasure trove of information that celebrates the achievements of women in this historically male-dominated arena.
