About Wellbeing Foundation Africa
Wellbeing Foundation Africa is a renowned brand that focuses on improving health outcomes for women, infants, and children. Founded in 2004 by Her Excellency Mrs. Toyin Ojora Saraki, the foundation combines programs and advocacy work in Nigeria and around the world.
With over 200,000 women participating in their flagship MamaCare classes, they have not lost a single MamaCare mother despite dire national maternal mortality rates. The foundation's programs cover a wide range of areas, including maternal, newborn, and child health, water, sanitation, and hygiene in healthcare facilities, schools, and communities. They also focus on adolescent skills and drills, personal health records, and universal health coverage.
Additionally, the Wellbeing Foundation Africa implements external grant programs and campaigns to promote awareness and change in various areas of healthcare. Through their multi-layered strategy, which includes research, advocacy, policy development, community engagement, philanthropy, and education, the foundation addresses the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals of Good Health and Wellbeing, Gender Equality, and Clean Water and Sanitation. Overall, the Wellbeing Foundation Africa is dedicated to delivering tangible results and making a positive impact on the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities, both in Nigeria and globally
