Champions is a day service based at Leaton Forest, a woodland estate in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. It supports adults with learning and physical disabilities, offering a range of activities and opportunities to make each day meaningful, enjoyable and engaging. The service aims to provide person-centred care and support, keeping each individual’s needs and choices at the heart of its approach.
Champions works alongside people rather than simply acting on their behalf. Its focus is on empowering and enabling individuals to live life to the full, build independence, develop skills and grow in confidence. Through new experiences in a safe, stimulating environment, people are encouraged to take positive risks, pursue their aspirations and have greater control over their lives. The service also places importance on having fun and helping each person work towards their own goals.
Champions operates Monday to Friday, from 9:45am to 3:45pm. Its offices are at Unit 2+9, Leaton Forest Offices, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, SY4 3HX.
