We Are Egg Donors

We Are Egg Donors (WAED) is a volunteer-run support and advocacy community created by egg donors, for egg donors. Founded in 2013 by three donors seeking a commercial-free space for open conversation, it has grown into a global community of thousands of current and former egg donors. WAED helps members share experiences, ask questions, discuss the emotional aspects of donation, and become their own best advocates.

Its central offering is a free, private Facebook group where approved members can connect with donors in more than 12 countries. The organization also publishes a blog featuring donor stories, interviews, research, and discussion of issues affecting egg donors. Through these resources and its advocacy work, WAED brings donor perspectives into broader conversations about transparency, ethics, and standards in third-party reproduction.

WAED states that it does not accept donations, sponsorships, or endorsements from businesses that profit from donor eggs. Its community and educational content are designed to support informed discussion and connection among donors.
