The Bermuda Weather Service (BWS), established in 1995, operates under the Bermuda Airport Authority’s Aviation Services Delivery Unit. Recognized as the island’s National Meteorological and Hydrological Service, BWS has significantly developed its capabilities since the US Navy's departure, which formerly filled meteorological needs. The service provides comprehensive public, marine, tropical, and aviation weather forecasts, warnings, and climatological information, ensuring safety and awareness for both residents and visitors.

Managed by a dedicated team, including five meteorologists and ten technicians, BWS undergoes rigorous training in collaboration with the UK Met Office and the US National Weather Service. They deliver weather updates through various channels, including dedicated TV stations, phone lines, and the popular website, www.weather.bm. Additionally, the BWS assists marine users, especially during yacht racing seasons, and works closely with emergency services to handle severe weather situations. BWS also promotes community education through public presentations and social media, enhancing weather awareness across Bermuda.
