Weavers’ Nest is a co-educational pre-primary school in Highbury, welcoming children aged 2 to 5. Guided by Christian values and inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, the school sees children as capable, curious learners who develop through exploration, play and connection. Its interactive, emergent curriculum responds to children’s interests and observations, creating opportunities for meaningful discovery in a rich learning environment.

The school offers classes for Grade 0000 (ages 2–3), Grade 000 (ages 3–4) and Grade 00 (ages 4–5), with two classes at each level. Learning experiences include imaginative role-play, storytelling, music, painting, drawing, woodwork, clay, sensory activities, sandpit play and movement that builds balance and confidence. Weavers’ Nest also provides aftercare, supported by an aftercare manager, and has a full-time nursing sister available on the Highbury estate. Qualified, experienced teachers work alongside classroom assistants and student interns to create a warm, caring setting. Kindness, honesty, trust and respect are practised as children grow socially, creatively and with confidence.
