Antique Cupboard is a family-owned business that has bought silver from the public for more than 50 years. The company is an A+ rated Better Business Bureau business and specializes in purchasing sterling silver flatware, hollowware, tableware, tea sets, and plates. It is particularly interested in pieces by makers such as Tiffany, Georg Jensen, and Buccellati, and may pay a premium for sought-after makers and patterns.
Rather than melting silver, Antique Cupboard operates as a silver matching service, assessing the design, maker, and pattern as well as the material. Customers can request a quote online by describing their items and, when helpful, submitting photos. The company provides an offer before customers ship their silver; if accepted, it supplies shipping instructions and can provide a prepaid label, with shipping and insurance covered up to $50. After receiving and inspecting the items, Antique Cupboard typically pays within five to seven business days by company check or, on request, PayPal.
