WECB

Introducing WECB, the 100% student-run radio station at Emerson College! With over 70 years of experience, we have provided students with a creative outlet and valuable learning experience in broadcast communications and radio. As a creatively independent internet radio station, we offer a wide range of products and services to our community. For students interested in radio, communications, audio engineering, music journalism, live events, marketing, and more, we provide a platform to hone their skills and gain hands-on experience.

Our organization is made up of upper management and six amazing teams, including Milk Crate, our online publication team, and WECB Live!, our events team. We also have an Audio Team, Marketing Team, Outreach Team, and Programming Team, all working together to create an inclusive and diverse music community. As the backbone of WECB, our Programming Team handles DJ interviews, streaming checks, and technical issues.

Throughout our history, we have overcome challenges and adapted to new technologies, including a recent shift to remote broadcasting during the Covid-19 pandemic. We are now back to full operating capacity, offering our students the opportunity to broadcast from our studio and campus venues. At WECB, we are committed to fostering an inclusive and accessible community, following the Emerson Community Compact commitments.

We believe in creating a more equitable environment where all voices are heard and respected. With our diverse range of free-form programming, we support over 100 student DJs and their original ideas every semester.
