Weddings by Lara is the New Jersey wedding officiant service of Lara Burke, an ordained officiant who performs ceremonies throughout the state, including along the Jersey Shore. Its guiding idea is “your wedding, your way”: Lara works with couples to create personalized ceremonies that reflect their relationship, beliefs, style, and plans. Ceremonies can be civil, spiritual, or non-denominational, and may include readings, unity rituals, family participation, memorials, pets, special music, or other ideas.
Lara also offers prewritten scripts, vows, and ring exchanges that can be adapted, as well as custom writing to make a couple’s love story central to the ceremony. She welcomes LGBTQIA couples and people of all races and faiths. Services include free consultations and follow-up, planning guidance, officiating, and filing the marriage license in the municipality where the ceremony takes place.
Packages are listed from $250 to $550, with special ceremony elements included; rehearsal attendance and certain travel or lodging expenses may cost extra. Lara also accommodates unusual venues and themed ceremonies, subject to practical limits
