We Do GREEN Organization (WDGO) is a legally registered and youth-led environmental Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) operating in Rwanda since 2018. Our main goal is to empower young people to engage in environmental protection at the local level. We focus specifically on reforestation and afforestation for carbon capture, biodiversity protection, ecosystem and landscape restoration, solidarity, and sustainable livelihoods.

We are driven by the need to address extreme systemic poverty and ongoing environmental degradation caused by the global climate crisis. Our mission is to involve youth in the protection of the environment, as well as the adaptation and mitigation of climate change, while leaving no one behind. We envision a future where people, ecosystems, and biodiversity thrive through collaborative efforts.

Our core values include diversity, equity, inclusion, and sustainability. We believe in involving all people without exclusion, ensuring equal access to basic necessities, providing equal opportunities, and promoting accountability and transparency for a greener and safer world. Through our programs, we seek to promote environmental and sustainability literacy for youth and indigenous communities, break the cycle of systemic poverty through the water-food-energy-ecosystem nexus, advocate for circularity and sustainable transitions, and empower young people to become ecological stewards and sustainability role models.
