Weihnachtsbeleuchtung Wetzikon

Weihnachtsbeleuchtung Wetzikon is a cooperative dedicated to keeping the town’s festive Christmas lights shining during Advent. Its work centers on the Wetziker Sterne, a seasonal display that brings illumination to Wetzikon and invites residents and visitors to share in the holiday atmosphere. The cooperative organizes an annual lighting event, with the 2026 illumination scheduled for November 27 at Leueplatz in the town center. The program includes food and drink stands from 6 p.m., followed by the lighting ceremony at 6:30 p.m., featuring an address and musical accompaniment by Seth Rivers.

To support the display’s ongoing preservation and maintenance, the cooperative offers several ways for the public to contribute. People can become cooperative members, take part in its decision-making, or provide support as donors and patrons. Donations and patron contributions can also be made through TWINT. The website provides information about the project, its history, sponsors, membership, events, and contact channels. Weihnachtsbeleuchtung Wetzikon also identifies itself as a producer of Suneschtrom, connecting its community-focused lighting initiative with local energy production.
