Weihnachtsmarkt Gau-Algesheimer

Weihnachtsmarkt e.V. is a community-minded association that organizes the Gau-Algesheim Christmas Market, bringing residents and visitors together for a festive weekend in the town’s marketplace. Run by a small, committed team with support from volunteer helpers, the event aims to create a welcoming atmosphere shaped by fellowship and a shared commitment to charitable causes. The association uses the market to support projects around the world, with details available through its project information.

Visitors can browse stalls offering handcrafted and locally produced goods, specialties from Gau-Algesheim’s partner community of Caprino Veronese, and Fairtrade products from the local world shop. Food and seasonal hot drinks add to the market experience. The program also includes activities for families and children, such as Christmas stories, as well as music, choir performances, a visit from St. Nicholas, church services, and a guided night-watchman tour of the old town. Through its annual event and related projects, Weihnachtsmarkt e.V. combines seasonal celebration with community participation and fundraising for people in need.
