Weingut Reckendorfer is a family winery in Ollersdorf, in Austria’s southeastern Weinviertel, near the Slovakian border. Matthias Reckendorfer took over the business in 2019, building on the foundations established by his parents, Karl and Gertraud. The estate farms 15 hectares of vineyards, including the Reinthal, Viertel and Vogelsang sites, and produces wines that express the character of the region.
Its range includes Grüner Veltliner, with a particular focus on Weißburgunder (Pinot Blanc) and Riesling, varieties for which the Weinviertel is known. Wines are presented across a quality pyramid of regional, village and single-vineyard bottlings. Music is an important part of the family’s life, reflected in the winery’s distinctive labels, which feature a stylised musical sound wave.
The estate has been certified sustainable in Austria since 2021 and achieved organic certification with the 2024 vintage. Customers can explore and purchase its wines through the winery’s shop or arrange an appointment for cellar-door sales. The winery also shares news through its newsletter
