We Listen In is an non-profit organization founded in 2021 in Stockholm with the aim of empowering multicultural women in Sweden. The board members, Samira Rahman, Shigufta Syed, Sarah Ayele, and Sham Rashid, themselves belong to the target group and have firsthand experience in navigating the challenges of living with multiple cultures. They understand the struggles of identity crisis, cultural clashes, and discrimination, but also recognize the advantages and strengths that come with their unique blend of cultures.

We Listen In provides a platform for multicultural women to develop together, addressing the stress and complexities of their daily lives. They contribute to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, working with experts and partners to create social change and promote a healthier and more equitable society, with a focus on goals 3, 5, and 10. Through a variety of workshops, events, internships, mentorships, and cultural activities, We Listen In fosters empowerment, community, and awareness, while offering support, tools, and perspectives to navigate the multicultural experience.
