Wellenreiter

Wellenreiter is a German surf travel company established in 1987 and describes itself as Germany’s first and most experienced provider of surf camps and surfing lessons. Through its travel label, Outside Surf Travel, it offers surf holidays throughout the year, with camps in France and Fuerteventura. French destinations include Cap de l’Homy and St. Girons Plage, where camp accommodation sits near the dunes, beaches and Atlantic waves, as well as Contis Plage, which offers lessons and stays in two-person apartments. Fuerteventura packages combine surfing lessons with accommodation in a surf villa.

The company caters to beginners, intermediate and advanced surfers, children aged 8–13, groups and school classes. Its courses include six full days of instruction per week, with daily programming adjusted to wave and tide conditions. Lessons are led by trained instructors holding DWV or VDWL qualifications, with ongoing support from experienced teams. Travellers can also book accommodation without lessons, rent surf equipment, arrange video sessions or reserve apartment stays in Contis.
