Wellensittiche-Porta-Westfalica

Zuchtgemeinschaft Krömer is a small, dedicated budgerigar breeding community based in Porta Westfalica, Germany. What began as a hobby has grown into a committed pursuit focused on the health, vitality, and beauty of the birds. The breeders raise budgerigars in a range of colour varieties, including classic types and less common forms such as Blackwing, Blackface, and Doubleblack. Their approach emphasizes responsible breeding, species-appropriate care, balanced nutrition, and a harmonious environment.

The community is active in the Ornis Porta bird club and takes part in exhibitions, where members share experience, learn from fellow breeders, and present their birds. Its website offers articles about breeding, bird care, exhibitions, and club life, along with accounts of regional and European shows. It also provides practical guidance for budgerigar owners, including advice on suitable cages, natural perches, toys, and bathing. Zuchtgemeinschaft Krömer welcomes people interested in birds, fellow breeders, and curious visitors who want to learn more about budgerigars and the hobby of breeding them.
