About Weller Book Works
Founded in 1929 by Gus Weller, Weller Book Works is the Grand Dame of Salt Lake bookstores. With a rich history spanning many locations and names, we have now settled into our bright future at historic Trolley Square. Our store is a haven for book lovers, offering a wide selection of new, used, and rare books spread across two floors.
Step into our Rare Book Room upstairs, where you'll discover treasures that will captivate your imagination. Explore our New West section for contemporary writing about our region and culture. Be sure to peruse our Staff Picks, each carefully chosen by our passionate booksellers.
Our fiction section will take you on a journey through literary and genre novels, while our non-fiction collection boasts an impressive array of history, science, archaeology, and art books. Located just off the 600 South entrance to Trolley Square, we are wheelchair accessible and offer free parking. As an independent bookstore, supporting us means supporting local workers and families who rely on us for their livelihoods.
Join us in the fight against corporate monopolies by choosing to #ShopLocal and #ShopIndie
