Wellington Association Football Club (Wellington AFC) is a community-focused football club based in Wellington, Somerset. Formed in 1892, it is a three-star FA Accredited Club and an unincorporated members’ club. The club provides football for hundreds of people across nearly 30 teams, from young players to adults, women and men.
Its senior section includes four sides: the First Team, Reserves, A team and Wildcats women’s team, competing in regional leagues. More than 20 youth and mini teams offer opportunities for boys and girls aged seven to 18, with coaching also available for younger children. Wellington AFC’s growing, award-winning Ability Counts section supports junior and adult players.
Beyond football, the club contributes to local life through its clubhouse and social facilities, which host skittles and darts teams and events for community organisations, registered charities and individuals. The club also offers venue hire and welcomes enquiries from people interested in joining, booking its facilities or learning more about its teams and activities.
