Well Rooted Health is a Southern Maine healthcare practice offering lactation consulting and medical care with an individualized, supportive approach. Led by nurse practitioner Laura, the practice combines clinical medical training with IBCLC-level lactation expertise, providing care through one provider. Lactation services are available to anyone seeking support; clients do not need to be established primary care patients.

The practice helps with latching and pumping difficulties, low milk supply, slow infant weight gain related to breastfeeding, transitions from hospital or NICU feeding, and assessment of milk intake. Medical care may include evaluation and management of tongue tie and other oral restrictions, mastitis, and induced lactation. Support is also available for anxiety, depression, and questions about medications or planned procedures while breastfeeding.

Well Rooted Health is accepting new primary care patients as of June 2025. Appointments are offered at offices in South Portland and Kennebunk, as well as through home visits and telehealth throughout Maine. Most patients are covered by insurance, and evening and weekend appointments are available
