Wells House & Gardens is a Victorian manor and visitor attraction in Ballyedmond, County Wexford, Ireland, set within 480 acres of gardens and woodland. The estate brings together heritage, nature and family activities, with the elegant house at its centre. Designed by architect Daniel Robertson, the house has a history spanning the Cromwellian era and the Great Famine. Robertson also designed the formal gardens, which include terrace gardens, a parterre, a walled garden, an arboretum and a main avenue; these historic landscapes have been restored in recent years.
Visitors can explore the gardens and woodland walks, take guided house tours, and enjoy fairy trails, Gruffalo walks, an animal farm and an adventure playground. Seasonal attractions include Halloween activities, pumpkin picking, train rides, winter events and a Christmas experience. Wells House also hosts afternoon tea, group visits, school tours, weddings, corporate events and private occasions. Guests can stay in self-catering courtyard cottages, combining historic surroundings with modern comforts. Mrs Stone’s Cafe offers a place to relax during a visit.
